SMARTKALEA
Fomento San Sebastian´s pioneering project based on different implementations to test and validate a comprehensive model for its expansion to other geographical areas.
SmartKalea is the innovative initiative of Fomento de San Sebastián to establish a public-private collaboration model that integrates the different agents that coexist in a city environment from a Smart/sustainable perspective: citizenship, businesses, technological local companies and Municipal Departments, leaded by Fomento de San Sebastián.
It consists on a pilot project based on Smart implementations to test and validate a comprehensive model for its expansion to other geographical areas and turn Donostia in a Smart City reference.
Regalos Itziar
Regalos Itziar is located in the Old Town, providing the latest trends in fashion and accessories: costume jewellery, handkerchiefs, scarfs, handbags, watches... It is also specialised in selling accessories so that anyone can make their own bracelet or necklace.
Vinos Martínez
If its walls could speak, they would tell endless adventures in which wine would play the leading role, because celebrating a century of history selling cask wine is something that doen't happen every day. The premises are the same as they were when it opened, and its old shelves are still full of bottles, although they have diversified and updated their offer: pacharán, liqueurs, cider, txakolí, wine, canned food and Idiazabal cheese. Out of curiosity, their cured leather wineskins are a hit among Latin American tourists, who buy them as a souvenir of their Basque roots.
SS Walkers
It is an elegant sport shoe store full of personality, for all the people of San Sebastian who walk across the city every day. Sports shoes for daily and also slightly more formal use. From Scandinavian or Italian brands, to vegan-sustainable brands, and also other more commercial brands but with alternative models and colours.
PyC
An original business founded in 1908, specialised in costume jewellery of the 20s, 30s and 40s. As well as this original vintage costume jewellery, it has a selection of gifts and souvenirs. A gem of a store located on the Calle Mayor of the Old Town in San Sebastián.
Zuntz
Zuntz comes into existence in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. The idea behind opening Zuntz started emerge over time, but it was when the premises were finally found in the Plaza de la Constitución when everything rapidly took shape. Zuntz offers a wide variety of backpacks, handbags, clothes and accessories, among other items, recycled plastic bottles, recycled rubber, natural and recycled fibres, organic cotton, fabric stock surpluses, etc.
